From 30 years of clinical experience helping patients recover from severe and chronic head pain problems, Dr John has realized that many patients suffer with health issues that modern allopathic Western medicine cannot diagnose or treat.  He has always looked “outside the box” for scientific and proven methods that can help his patients improve their lives.  That is how he has always been able to help his chronic pain patients.  The dental-medical connection has gained much research in the last few years and medical doctors are becoming more aware of how dental problems impact overall health.

Pain and illness are the main reasons why people seek medical care.  Inflammation is the main cause of pain and illness.  Inflammation is caused by trauma or TOX (toxicity.)  Poor posture, misalignments, and trauma will cause joint and muscle damage which in turn causes inflammation and pain. If corrected the pain is resolved. That is the basis of our headache treatment.  On the other hand, TOX can continue for a lifetime if not identified.  This TOX will cause most of our diseases and suffering.  The 6 basic categories of TOX in the human body are:

1. Chemicals
2. Heavy Metals
3. Parasites
4. Mold
5. Bacteria
6. Viruses

We call these the 6 Horsemen.  Every human body is exposed to the above 6 Horsemen on a regular and consistent basis.  For example, we all ingest about 1 gallon of chemicals every year.  You cannot hide from chemicals.  Your mouth is usually a harbor for all 6 Horsemen and often the entry point into the body.  Some of these categories contain specific “offenders” that can cause illnesses and therefore inflammation and pain and poor quality of life. 

For example, a major “offender” is Strep bacteria (found in the mouth) which can cause sore throats especially in early childhood.  This infection can lead to neurologic and heart tissue damage because the immune system cannot find and fight these types of bacteria.  Strep bacteria are stealth like and can make themselves look like brain/neural or heart tissue as they hide from your immune cells.  Psychological stress, anxiety, and headaches can result from such infections as they attack your nerve and heart cells. Similarly, Tick Borne Disease bacteria such as Lymes can cause multiple health problems because they are also “mimic bacteria” which hide from your immune system. Standard medical tests don’t look for these causes and sometimes cannot detect them.  Very few physicians will consider looking at chemicals, heavy metals, or parasites as causes for health problems.  Mold and viruses are often undiagnosed because they hide from clinical detection and specific tests are needed for diagnosis.

Stress is blamed as the cause of over 80% of our health problems. Prolonged stress sets in when the human body continues to be burdened by the 6 Horsemen. The stress response network of the body will further trigger biological responses that express themselves as disease.  Stress causes a nervous system response of resisting, followed by adapting, then exhausting, and finally:  trying to recover or reclaim balance.  Most of the time it is not capable of reaching the final stage of reclaiming needed balance, especially when the underlying causes are not found.  This is where disease sets in.  Headaches are often a result of this disease process. 

Modern medical care and medications normally work by further suppressing processes in the body to attempt to heal or return to normal function.  Often, they cause many side effects and do not allow the body to learn how to heal naturally because they do NOT address the real causes.  Dental disease is also responsible for many health problems and proper diagnosis is needed to help look at these causes.  Most dentists will not look at these aspects because they have not been taught enough about such diagnosis.

In 2018, Dr John decided to add Bionetic technology to help his patients. The science of Bionetics has allowed him to help understand some of the underlying causes of dental and medical disease and help him look at the relationship between dentistry and health problems from a different perspective.
